Chiropractic Adjustments

Mountain Valley Chiropractic bases its care on specific, scientific chiropractic adjustments. Our goal with this care is to reduce and remove interference from your nervous system, known as subluxation.

Your body has an “innate” ability to be healthy, so long as the controlling mechanism, the nervous system, is free from interference. Subluxations are a major cause of interference to the function of your nervous system. With time and repetition, our goal is to correct subluxations and allow your body to return to good health naturally and without drugs.

Wellness

At Mountain Valley Chiropractic, wellness is more than the absence of pain—it’s about helping your body function at its highest potential. We take a holistic approach to healing, addressing not just symptoms but the root causes of imbalance. Through gentle chiropractic care, we support the nervous system, which controls every organ and function in the body. When the spine is aligned, communication between the brain and body improves, promoting natural healing from the inside out. We also look at lifestyle, nutrition, and stress to support whole-body wellness. Our goal is to empower you and your family to live vibrant, resilient lives—naturally.

Interpreting X-Rays/Imaging

Before beginning care or while under the course of care it may be necessary to refer you to a qualified professional to take x-rays or other imaging in order to assess the condition of your spine or other specified area of anatomy. You may also present with recent, outside imaging and have it professionally read or interpreted by Mountain Valley Chiropractic.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Adults

Dr. Heinecke customizes his adjustment techniques based on each patient’s preferences and what works best for their individual situation. Adjustment sessions are approximately 20 minutes, unlike other clinics where visits may last only five minutes.

Dr. Heinecke takes the time to perform an initial assessment and have a meaningful conversation with you about how you’re feeling that day. He addresses each relevant area of the body and, when appropriate, offers personalized suggestions and resources for at-home care to support your progress between visits.

Below are a few of the ways adults may be adjusted.

Infants

The newborn stage is a time of incredible growth, change, and adjustment—for both babies and parents. Dr. Joe gently checks newborns for common areas of tension that can develop during pregnancy or birth, including the neck, spine, jaw, and nervous system. These subtle stresses may show up as feeding challenges, fussiness, reflux, difficulty sleeping, or a preference for turning the head to one side. Newborn adjustments look nothing like adult care; Dr. Joe uses an extremely light, precise touch—no more pressure than you’d use to test a tomato—without any cracking or forceful movement. Many parents are surprised by how calm and relaxed their baby remains during care. A gentle newborn check can offer peace of mind and support your baby’s ability to adapt, grow, and thrive from the very beginning. If you have questions or would like to schedule a newborn check, our team would be honored to support your family.
